MARY MILLER FINE ART

Mary has enjoyed a distinguished career in the art world with nearly 50 years of expertise in the contemporary art market. Mary joined Marlborough Fine Art in 1977 and  worked with David Somerset (the late Duke of Beaufort), Gilbert Lloyd and the renowned and generous Valerie Beston.  She got to know most of the Marlborough ‘stable’ of artists including Francis Bacon, Frank Auerbach, Paula Rego, RB Kitaj, Oskar Kokoschka, Mordecai Ardon, Graham Sutherland, John Piper, and Victor Pasmore. She worked on cultivating museum and private client relationships, organising major international exhibitions, compiling exhibition catalogues and contributing to the gallery management and direction at Marlborough Fine Art.

 

This new venture Mary Miller Fine Art (MMFA) places works with collectors, promoting artists we believe will find a positive and receptive audience. Some artists are shown by Purdy Hicks Gallery and MMFA is working with Rebecca Hicks on this initiative, building on their enthusiasm and knowledge of the art world cemented by a lifelong friendship and collaborative eye established when they worked together for many years at Marlborough. 

 

In the last five years Mary has placed works by Frank Auerbach, Leon Kossoff, Euan Uglow, Henry Moore, Emily Young, John Piper, Paula Rego, Nina Murdoch, Sandra Kantanan and Kathrin Linkersdorff amongst others.

Mary Miller is a Deputy Lieutenant in Northamptonshire where she lives and a Trustee of the Milton Keynes Art Gallery
